LOVE AND ROCKETS WAKE Friday, May 3rd, at the Hollywood Mega-Store. Thanks to all of those who made it into the store to help celebrate the release of Love & Rockets #50! Check out the photos and signed art. Everyone had a great time and the Bros. Hernandez were happy to see all their friends and supporters there. And special thanks to the Sprague Brothers for the awesome live Rockabilly/Surf music! We had problems with the live chatroom, find out why! We're sorry to all those who were disappointed, and are looking for help to set up a more reliable space for upcoming events. As a way of making up to you, each Hernandez's signed their own favorite page from Issue #50 especially for the Internet. Also, Gilbert gave us permission to give you a two page preview of issue #2 of his new comic GirlCrazy^TM.

BETTIE PAGE-A-RAMA On Friday night , March 15th, over 150 fans were on hand as store owner Bill Liebowitz conducted a rare live phone interview with Bettie Page as part of the world premiere of 2 new books featuring Bettie. Also present were the artists, writers and contributors of the books, including: Dave Stevens, Robert Blue, James Swanson, Jeff Gelb, Russ Heath, and Jamie Hernandez. A limitied number of copies of both books signed by their respective authors and artists and very few by Bettie herself are available. Also, for you hard-core online Bettie fans, check out Daniel Kian Mc Kiernan's page of Bettie links. He emailed us and asked us to put a link in to his site. We'll do the same for you!

CYBER-NITE! On Wednesday, March 6 from 6 - 8pm at the Hollywood Store, The Official Launch of Golden Apple OnLine took place with one of the last personal appearances made by Dr. Timothy Leary. Also there were author Carla Sinclair and Howard Hallis who created the computer generated artwork for Dr. Leary's book. Check out the photos from the event and exclusive offer for signed books.

MATT GROENIG ON-LINE SIGNING Well, okay, we did do one online event before the web site went up on the Internet. Golden Apple hosted the first ever on-line signing with Simpsons' creator Matt Groening. The signing which was held in the Hollywood store and simultaneously around the world via Compuserve, allowed fans from around the nation to sit in while Matt answered questions, signed autographs and drew pictures.

OLIVIA AND JULIE STRAIN World famous glamour artist Olivia signed autographs with the beautiful Julie Strain celebrating the release of Julie's new photo book.

STAN LEE, BATMAN AND SPIDER-MAN Stan Lee, Spider-Man, Batman and a group from DC and Marvel Comics came together to promote the upcoming battle between the industry giants, Marvel vs. DC.

TOP COW PRODUCTIONS Bill Tucci, Nelson Asencio, and the group from Marc Silvestri's Top Cow Productions came by to allow fans the opportunity to meet the creative force behind Shi/Cyblade and all their other favorite books.
